Bouquet Pricing & Size Guide

Updated: Oct 24

Something we get asked a lot about is the price and sizing of our arrangements. You would think this is a straightforward question but actually it's a little bit more complicated...

Every week, sometimes more than once! We wake up at 5am (ouch) to attend the UFG online auction to purchase all our flowers for the week. This is where all the amazing growers around NZ come to sell their product. The flowers are then sent to us here in Tauranga.

Because this is an auction system, that means the prices are always different. Other things that affect flower pricing is the availability due to the demand, popular wedding flowers, Valentines Day etc. Or things due to Mother Nature, the seasons, weather events etc.

So, when it comes to pricing an arrangement, the size/stem count can fluctuate slightly.

But also, not every flower is of equal value, for example a King Protea or Orchid is a more expensive variety compared to a Tulip or Iris. So, in our higher budget arrangements sometimes it is not about quantity, but the value of the varieties used.

And just to confuse you even more! Eeekkkkk.... Not every flower shop/floral designer has the same pricing! This will vary depending on each business's situation - over heads, the type of designs they are creating etc. There are no rules in this regard, however we do have an industry standard which we use as a guide here at Little Belle Flowers.

To try and simplify things for you, we have created a visual size guide for our bouquets,

you can check it out on our Size Guide Page.

Now you hopefully have a better understanding in regard to the different value of flower varieties and things that can affect the prices of flowers, we hope this size guide will give you a good idea of the physical size of our bouquets.

Our advice to you, is find a floral designer whose work you absolutely love, and you will never feel disappointed when receiving your order regardless of the price or size.
